Coaches,
Congratulations on competing in and completing the 2021 football season. The past two years will certainly be remembered as being one of the most challenging periods in the history of high school athletics. You and your coaches were an example for young and old alike on how to improvise, adapt and overcome adversity. Thank you for all you do.
The Executive Committee of the Phil Simms New Jersey North South High School All-Star Football Classic is excited to announce that the oldest and most prestigious all-star football game in the state is back after a two-year, pandemic-related hiatus and will be played at Kean University on Sunday, June 12, 2022.
We are looking for your best player(s), those who will be competing at the collegiate level next fall and who best represent the values you have instilled in your program.
The three-day event will commence with check-in Friday morning, June 10 at Cougar Hall, Kean’s newest and most modern dormitory. Practices will be conducted by some of the best and brightest coaches New Jersey has to offer. Buffet meals will be provided multiple times during the day and there will be a celebratory BBQ Saturday evening for the all-stars.
All players selected for the game are expected to remain on campus the entire weekend. In keeping with Kean University guidelines, all participants will be required to show proof of vaccination prior to check-in.
The nomination form link is shown below. Please click on the Google document, complete and submit. You may nominate multiple players, but a separate nomination form will be required for each athlete. If you nominate multiple players and have a ranking preference, please note that on the form. The initial team selection will be limited to one athlete per school. At times multiple players from the same team will be selected if the Committee needs to replace a selected player who is unable to participate due to injury, illness or other personal reason.
The deadline for player nominations is January 15, 2022.
